A Letter from Haradai

Dear Lady Vadriar,

You’ll be happy to know we safely made it to Karkoth! We’ve met with King Alexander, and are doing our best to help him to unite these kingdoms to prepare for the coming war. We also just found and rescued Master Omarion (whose name you know, I’m sure). He’s an interesting man, and I’m looking forward to learning more from him!

To tell you the truth, I’ve been having some doubts about my purpose, and what I should be doing. Is my duty to the Academy? To the Order? Or to my new group of friends and allies? I initially pursued my work and research purely in the interest of knowledge for its own sake, and not for any greater, political purpose. But I truly think the world needs us right now, and needs me … and I can help by assisting my friends in their purpose here. Yet, I have so much more to learn…

My discussion with Master Omarion troubled me as well. I was discussing the Feywild with him, when he made comments about “my people”, saying things like “all Eladrin are born in the Feywild.” Is that true? I’ve always thought of the Academy as my people, and as my home. But Master Omarion was adamant.

Who were my parents? Where was I born? Where do I really belong? And what is my destiny? These questions have recently been itching at the back of my mind, especially because most of my companions seem to have a strong sense of who they are and where they’re going. If you can tell me anything (especially about the Feywild), I would be very grateful. Know that whatever happens on my travels, and whatever I learned, the White Lotus will always be home to me.

Fondly thinking of home,

A Letter from Haradai
